What does 2:7 mean?
Colossians 2:6-7 "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving."
The goal of this curriculum is to grow strong roots, build one another up in Christ, and firmly establish our lives in the faith which comes from Him.
What is a 2:7 Group?
Groups are made up of 4-5 people. Each group meets weekly to study through the weekly chapter in the 2:7 curriculum. The weekly activities include scripture memory, Bible reading recap, prayer, and evangelism training. You will receive Biblical training and deepen your own understanding of God's Word, and you will also learn how to take what you have learned and share it with others who desire to grow in their understanding. You will have weekly 'assignments' to complete before your group's meeting. These assignments take around an hour to complete and can be done at any time throughout the week.
When do 2:7 Groups meet?
When you join a group, your group leader will reach out to schedule the best time for each member to meet on a weekly basis. Upon signup, you can indicate your availability. We will attempt to place people with similar schedules in groups together to make it easy to connect consistently each week.
How do I get my copy of the workbooks?
We will have each book available in The Well to purchase on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. These books are available for $10 each and are required for the 2:7 Groups.
Can I choose my group?
Upon signup, you can let us know if there is anyone who you would like to be in a group with (not guaranteed.) You can also let us know if you'd like to be in a group with others from your LifeGroup and age range, or if you'd be interested in a multi-generational group.
What if I'm already in a Bible Study or Discipleship Group?
If you already have a group that meets regularly, but you'd like to implement the 2:7 curriculum into your existing group, let us know! We want you to continue meeting with your established group, and we'd love to help you get started with this discipleship resource.
When do groups start?
We plan to have all groups ready to go by the beginning of the year. But, your group can beginning whenever your leader reaches out.
Do I have to wait to join a group?
No, we hope to have new groups starting throughout the year. You can sign up at any time to be a part of a group, and we will do our best to place you in a group as soon as possible.
