The BIG Serve 2025

WHEN: Saturday, April 26

TIME: Meet at the church at 8:15am before heading to service areas

COST: Free! You will receive a Fayette Baptist t-shirt for serving as well

CAN KIDS SERVE?: Those in grades 6th+ are able to serve on their own. Children in 5th grade and below can serve with a parent.

Hope House for Women Projects

Team Lead - TBD

Complete a variety of campus enhancement projects at the Hope House for Women, including some construction on the roof, landscaping, and more. Lunch will be provided for those serving here.

End Time: TBD depending on the project scope


Business Blessings Blitz

Team Lead - TBD

Prepare baked goods to deliver to local businesses and first responders, and pray with them as you bless them!

End Time: 12:00pm


Outreach at FCA Soccer Games

Team Lead - Jon Gambrell

Set tents, tables, and grills at local rec soccer games and prepare and pass out free concessions to families. Invite families to church and local VBS events. We will have volunteers from other churches present, as well as bounce houses for kids. Games will take place at Oakland FBC.

End Time: 2:00pm


Neighborhood Outreach

Team Lead - Daniel Taylor

Go door-to-door in neighborhoods in Oakland and Somerville to pass out cards, church invites, and pray with members of the community!

End Time: 12:00pm


Public School Campus Projects

Team Lead - Josh Mabry and Cade Shaw

Serve local public schools by completing campus improvement and landscape projects. This includes mulching, cleaning up trash, planting flowers, weeding flower beds, trimming bushes, etc.

Serving the Homeless at SEND Relief Center in Memphis

Team Lead - Drew Murphy and Chad Cornwell

Transport the homeless from locations around Memphis to the Send Relief Center in Memphis. Help serve food and provide other supplies at the 901 Counts Event at the local Ministry Center.
